Job Facts

I am a third grade teacher at a fabulous school called Morikami Park Elementary.

Home Facts

I am originally from Bensalem, Pennsylvania- which is a small suburb of Philadelphia. I lived there for 24 years before following my mom to Tamarac, Florida. While I lived with her, I was lucky enough to meet my wonderful boyfriend, Chris and I moved into his home in Boca Raton, FL.

Recently, I moved back to Boca Raton after spending 1 1/2 years in Charlotte, North Carolina where I purchased my first home. I am about to become a landlord which is exciting and scary at the same time.

Education Facts

I graduated from Temple University with a degree in Communications. I began taking masters level courses in elementary education before my first move to Florida. Luckily, Florida makes it very easy for want-to-be teachers to become certified so I gained employment and finished the required courses and took the required tests to become a certified teacher. Not wanting to spend my life in the classroom, I find myself in the FSU School Media Specialist program today!

[edit] Free Time

Though free time is hard to come by, I like to spend what time I have:

  • taking cycling classes, practicing yoga, and conditioning with weight training
  • visiting beaches throughout South Florida
  • spending time with family members
  • playing with my loving Golden Retriever, Brandon
