[edit] Places To Visit in Second Life of General Interest

  • One cool place that I found was the Art Institute of Chicago. It has both art created in and for second life as well as representations of famous paintings in the AIC's collection.
  • The International Space Museum - There are replicas of all the major shuttles and rockets. There is also a simulated rocket ride to space and a planetarium.
  • Abstract Art at Laguna has tons of vivid artwork and even a place to dance on the top level.
  • Add a name and short description of places you recommend (with a SLurl, if possible).

[edit] Events of Interest

Use the search tools in Second Life to find out about places to visit and events to attend, or search for events on the web at http://secondlife.com/events.

  • Add additional events of possible interest to this list (in chronological order).

[edit] Recommended Resources and Tutorials

Resources and tutorials about Second Life that you recommend.

  • Second Life Video Tutorials
  • A Cheatsheet for Second Life keyboard shortcuts for the features of Second Life most useful to beginners (note that the shortcuts are for the PC; mac shortcuts typically use the apple command key instead of CTRL).
  • Please add additional resources you find helpful.

[edit] Second Life Names and Real Names

Please don't feel any pressure to add your name to this list. Sometimes Second Life feels a bit impersonal to me so I wanted to create a spot where the name barrier could be circumvented.

  • If you want to, please add your name & SL name to this list.
