[edit] Links

Here are the links that I have found in my research so far with a brief description of each of them.

This site offers a very useful list of links to both websites and articles that cater to the educational uses of video games.
This link is a link to a video on Google Video produced by the Orange County CA Department of Education's Educational Technology Division. The video contains several interviews with several leaders in the field of of electronic games in education including Jim Gee, Clark Aldrich, and Henry Jenkins.
This is a link to World of Warcraft's Fair Use Guide for machinima producers. It outlines all of their guidelines in using the game for video production purposes.

[edit] Journal Articles

These are the journal articles that I have found that I thought might be helpful to one of you guys also.

  • Schmidt, A. (2006, June). Are You Game? (Cover story). School Library Journal, 52(6), 52-54. Retrieved April 4, 2008, from Academic Search Complete database.
I ran across this article and thought you guys might find it useful as it covers your topics of using gaming in a public library setting.
  • Natalie and Jennifer- Check out the journal entitled Library Technology Reports Volume 42, Issue 5, September/October 2006 in EBSCOhost from FSU library's site. The entire issue covers gaming in all different types of libraries from public and academic to school media centers! It has actual case studies and everything, which is exactly what I was looking for. Its awesome!
